We meet the Sony Xperia Ion, a device which is “first” from a couple of perspectives: it’s the first Sony device to come sans the “Ericsson” in its branding, though the device we got our hands on still uses the old Sony Ericsson logo, unlike the official AT&T phone render. It is also the first device from the manufacturer to include a 4G LTE radio.
The Sony Xperia Ion packs a dual-core 1.5GHz processor, 4.6-inch 720p display, and a twelve-megapixel camera. While you’re waiting for the second quarter of the year, when it hits AT&T’s shelves, take a look at our hands-on below. We like the screen and the overall aspect of the phone which just so happens to be a rather thin one.
