The next step in Google’s journey toward world domination is taking over your shopping needs, it seems. The latest addition to Google’s lineup of cards in its Now personal assistant tool is a card letting you know if you are near a retail location which stocks an item you have searched for online.

As you can see in Google’s image above, you will find items you have searched for recently neatly organized by nearby stores which carry them. You can also see the price, so you can quickly see if you have found a good deal.

Then, in Google’s own words, “all you have to do is pop into the store and check if they’re in stock”. This should, theoretically, make shopping and remembering what to buy a lot simpler.

All you have to do to get in on the fun is update the Search app (available at the source link). Anyone think that they’ll find this useful?
