Google Chromecast launched in India

If you’ve invested in the Apple ecosystem and have an iPhone or an iPad, maybe both, and a Mac to accompany them, chances are that you’re blasting your multimedia on an Apple TV. However, if you’re the same person but, instead of the Apple ecosystem, you’re invested in the Google one, chances are that you already have a Chromecast. Not to mention the incredibly irresistible price tag that makes you buy one even if you’re a user of another platform.

We’ve looked at the Chromecast back when it was super hot, and now it’s time for the fine folks of India to grab their own HDMI dongle. It will be a tad more expensive than in the US, going for Rs 2,999 (which is roughly $50), but you will be able to grab one from the Play Store, from network operator Airtel, or even Snapdeal. If you grab one from the carrier, Airtel will even throw in 60GB of free data for three months.

So, if you live in India, tell us: are you grabbing one, once it’s available tomorrow?
