You already have enough mobile gear on sale this Thanksgiving, Black Friday and “Cyber Weekend” at dozens of US retailers to last a lifetime. But one essential piece of the holiday discount puzzle is yet to fall into place. The big one.

No, we don’t mean Samsung, although that was also massive. Not Apple either, since, well, you rarely get decent savings on iPhones or iPads from the Cupertino manufacturer directly. But Google last year sold its then sizzling hot Nexus 6 and 9 with free Play Store credit, bringing the LG G Watch price to a temporary all-time low too.

Naturally, we expect nothing less for Black Friday 2015. Hopefully, more, as in actual Nexus 5X or 6P discounts. The N9 could also use a trim, even if it might be hard to compete with HTC’s amazing two-day promotions.

Let’s not forget about Android Wear smartwatches, which have recently flooded the fledgling wearable décor, failing to emerge as solid Apple Watch contenders. Clearly, at least a few of the record six intelligent timepieces sold through the Google Store will headline the BF blowout this year.

Both the official Nexus and Android Twitter accounts confirm “deals are coming”, and we doubt Google Play Cyber Weekend savings on apps and media are referenced here. Unfortunately, we’ll likely have to wait some extra hours to find out what’s in the box, and how much time we’ll get to act. Not a lot, that’s for sure, so keep your eyes peeled on our deal roundup and Big G’s e-shop.
