For Huawei, averaging better than a million sales a month sounds like a pretty good milestone to clutch in September for a smartphone that was launched in April. Growth has been steady since the manufacturer reported its six-week sales figure of 2.6 million for the P9 and P9 Plus.

In a statement to GSMArena, the company noted that the Leica-endorsed P9 has notched some 6 million sales. We’re not exactly sure if both variants are included in that figure.

Huawei’s CEO expects the P9 to grab 10 million sales by year’s end.
