Checking back in on one of the more unique phones in Samsung’s lineup, Jaime tackled the main review for this beauty, but we couldn’t let him have all the fun. For 2016 this manufacturer focused on refining the Galaxy, improving on what worked, fixing what didn’t. Though the Galaxy S6 Active was a formidable entry last year.

The S7 Active also represents a focus on refinement. Increasing the battery capacity, replacing the micro SD card expansion, and providing the first fingerprint sensor on a rugged phone, the S7 boasts some welcome improvements over its predecessor, though the main aesthetic remains the similar: Take the guts of a flagship phone and cram them into a more durable shell.

When it comes to water resistance, we’ve all seen those “phone in kitchen sink” tests. To really drive this phone though, I’m sure we can do better. Spending an afternoon at a water park, did the Galaxy S7 Active survive water slides and jets?
