The wave of Galaxy S 4 news continues to wash over us today, but in an effort to condense things a bit and more efficiently bring you the latest developments on tall things GS4, we’re going to hit up two new developments at once, taking a look at some comments Samsung has been making.

First up, we get a little insight into all these reports from carriers of problems with GS4 availability, forcing them to push back or modify the details of the US retail launch. Samsung explains that while “the initial supply may be limited… we expect to fulfill inventory to meet demands in the coming week.” So, even if you can’t get your hands on a GS4 straight away, fret not because stocks should soon be replenished.

Then there’s news of a possible new GS4 variant. Samsung’s Young Soo Kim was recently present at a GS4 launch event in Dubai where he mentioned that a dust and waterproof rugged GS4 was nearly ready to be announced – an event that could be just weeks away. It seems a little odd for such a handset to seem like an afterthought, as it’s coming across here, and we wonder just how official this news might be. Certainly, we’ll be on the lookout for any developments along this line.
