Lunchboxed Galaxy Note 4 possibly caught on video
The Galaxy Note 4 is nearly here. Samsung’s been teasing the hell out of its phablet for next week’s pre-IFA Unpacked event, and all that remains now is to get the details. Which, to be fair, there are a lot that still need to be confirmed, and beyond specifics on hardware components, we still don’t have a great idea of how this phone will appear. There have been a few leaked pics of components, as well as supposed images of the assembled Note 4 itself, but nothing we’ve felt really confident about being the genuine article. With such a short time to go before launch, will a solid leak of the phablet finally surface? We might have come across just that, as a video purporting to show the Note 4 in operation is published.
As is occasionally the situation with pre-release hardware spotted in the wild, this handset is “lunchboxed” in a body-concealing case. So what makes this a Note 4? Well, it doesn’t appear to be a Note 3, at least, with details like the front-facer not quite matching. And we’ve got an S Pen here, though that, at least, does seem to closely match the Note 3’s.
Ultimately, it’s far from an airtight ID, though we’re also not spotting anything about this that really makes us think it couldn’t be the Note 4. We’d love to get a better (and longer) look at the hardware, and really have a chance to put this under the microscope, but there’s just not very much to see here. September 3 can’t come soon enough!
