Back at IFA 2013 in Berlin, Samsung announced its biggest, baddest, most bodacious smartphone/tablet hybrid ever, the Galaxy Note 3. After getting some hands-on time with the world’s beefiest phablet, we were keen to get it into our labs for some one-on-one testing … and thanks to Negri Electronics, we’ve been able to do just that. The SM-N900 version of the Galaxy Note 3 recently arrived at the door of the Pocketnow review booth, and we’re putting it bezel-to-bezel against its predecessor, the Galaxy Note II.

So before you go dropping a boatload of bucks on the season’s latest spec beast, you might want to check out how the new entry compares with its trailblazing forerunner. (Hot tip: there are more differences than just the conversion to Arabic from Roman numerals in the brand name.) So watch our Galaxy Note 3 vs Galaxy Note 2 -er, II- comparison video above for the lowdown on how these devices fare in a head-to-head contest, then stay tuned for our full Galaxy Note 3 review coming the week of September 30!
