Galaxy Note 10.1 Looks Like A Lock For August 15 Samsung Event

Earlier today, we heard that Samsung had finally confirmed what was on the agenda for its IFA Unpacked event at the end of the month: the Galaxy Note 2. That left us wondering what was planned for its August 15 event, and we speculated a bit about the most likely candidates. If you were holding out hope that we might get the first official confirmation of the 11.8-inch giant mentioned in some of the company’s documents exposed by its recent legal battle with Apple, we’ve got some bad news, because we just got our first look at the invitations to this event, and it’s pretty clear we’re dealing with the Galaxy Note 10.1 here.

That’s far from a surprise, and since we found out about the late-month plans for the Note 2, the Note 10.1 seemed pretty likely for the August 15 event. What cinches the deal is the imagery on the invitation Samsung’s started distributing.

The lines of varying thickness seem like a direct reference to the S-pen stylus, and its pressure-sensitive technology. Alone, that would leave us up-in-the-air between the Note 2 and 10.1, but combined with that recent confirmation about the Note 2’s unveiling, we can pretty safely say that August 15 will be the Galaxy Note 10.1’s day.

The Note 10.1 is all set to be an impressive tablet, with a quad-core Exynos and what could be the best stylus implementation on a tablet to date.
