Galaxy Nexus Accessories Delayed

A month and ten days ago we pre-ordered some official Samsung accessories for the Galaxy Nexus. The shipping date was originally the first few days in December. Now, ten-days after that, we still don’t have the accessories.

The vendor we’ve been working with has been very responsive to our inquiries, letting us know that the delays have been which Samsung. Unfortunately, Samsung is now listing December 23, 2011 as the date they expect to start shipping the accessories we ordered.

While disappointing, it’s not unusual. The Desktop Dock and Car Dock were delayed after the Nexus One was originally released — though not quite this long. To be fair, the Galaxy Nexus isn’t even available in the US yet, so perhaps the “delay” is more academic than actual to most customers.

We can’t help but think that delays may hurt the adoption of the phone. First Verizon Wireless missed having the phone available for Black Friday or Cyber Monday. Now accessories will likely not be delivered before Christmas.
