Samsung Getting Galaxy Mega 6.3 Ready for AT&T?

Ready to start-off the week with a little bit of a smartphone mystery? We’ve got one for you that crosses paths with a few different lines of Samsung handsets, and really leaves us wondering just what the hardware could really be. Try to follow along with us and learn what we know about the so-called Samsung Melius.

According to tipster superstar evleaks, the Samsung Melius will be an upcoming Android phone, model SGH-I527, for AT&T.

The first twist is that the name Melius is one that has been previously associated with Samsung’s Tizen efforts. A rumor from earlier this month claimed that both the Melius and a device codenamed Redwood would arrive as two of Samsung’s first Tizen models. Despite this, evleaks is very clear about today’s news: the SGH-I527 Melius he’s talking about is assuredly not a Tizen phone.

So, what is it? That model number SGH-I527 is one that’s popped-up earlier, tied to the Galaxy Mega 6.3. There could be a connection there, but the link between SGH-I527 and the Mega 6.3 doesn’t exactly come from gold-standard official sources.

Does this mean that Megas are coming to the US? What happened to those Tizen plans? As you can see, we’re ending up with more questions than ever, but hopefully we’ll get what we need soon to finally start coming up with some answers.
