Galaxy C5 FCC papers get in, Galaxy C7’s too

It’s another release fresh out of China and, perhaps, onward to the United States. Or not.

Samsung’s recent HTC-likes, the Galaxy C5 and Galaxy C7, have been spotted at the FCC with application papers, but just because the commission takes a look at the devices doesn’t necessarily mean we’re getting sales in the US — it’s happened before.

Digging into the Galaxy C7’s FCC ID label document, we also see markings from a Brazilian agency with an entirely different LTE spectrum than the US. The Galaxy C5’s SAR report shows that the only LTE band tested was the one shared between CDMA-run Sprint and the Chinese networks: band 41. Not a good sign.

Would you like to see the Galaxy C5 and/or C7 in the States? Or is this something you can do without?
