A visibly upset French man decided to walk into his local Apple Store in Dijon and, with a steel bocce ball, smash the screens of every display device he could get at. As a passerby started filming the rampage, the unnamed man yelled into the camera, “this is happening!”

According to the Dijon Arondissement prosecutor, the perpetrator ended up causing about €50,000 of damage to iPhones and a MacBook before being detained by mall security.

The person was apparently upset at Apple for not honoring a refund over a warranty issue as he felt the company was compelled to under EU law. We aren’t sure of what happened in his case, but indeed, Apple has been awful at supporting major product failures just within warranty validity.

His date in court is October 4.
