Leaked Foxconn documents detail iPhone 6s camera
There was a time when the iPhone was praised for its camera quality, and at the launch of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, this was still the way most of us felt about it. Then came 2015, products like the Galaxy S6 and LG G4, and now everyone consider’s Apple’s cameras to be dull. We’ve kept an eye on a ton of rumors regarding the new cameras Apple will bring to its next generation iPhones, but today we get that information in writing, or should I say, drawing.
Leaked Foxconn documents detail the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus camera specifications. Both devices are apparently being coded as N66 and N71 respectively, and each will carry a 12-megapixel rear camera with support for 4K video recording, and it seems this video mode will even support a 240fps slow motion mode. The source also claims that each device will sport a 5 megapixel selfie camera, a major upgrade from the existing 1.2 megapixel camera we find on the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. The document goes as far as to mention that these devices will both sport 2GB of RAM as well, something which Apple never really reveals at any product launch.
Even with the success of the existing iPhones, Samsung is slowly regaining its smartphone dominance in Apple’s territory, so this feature in particular needs to be done right later this year if Apple wants to continue its current trend in sales.
