Watchmaker Fossil has been one of the more progressive and aggressive legacy companies (well, 1984 is “legacy” enough for us) to march into the wearable tech era. It acquired Misfit to get a jumpstart on fitness trackers and it even came out with the Android Wear-powered Q Founder.

Well, the Q Founder is getting two partners this month — the Q Wander and Q Marshal. The big difference between the two? The Wander (right) has a curvier, well-finished case with “artfully sculpted” wire lugs while the Marshal’s (left) case is more rugged. Straps are interchangeable and dial designs are customizable.

Both 45mm Q watches were revealed in March and have all of the fitness trappings plus a microphone, speaker and magnetic charging. The watches seem pretty ready for Android Wear 2.0 — but it can be tethered to Android and iOS phones. In fact, there’s only one mention of “Android Wear” at the bottom of the press release, acknowledging it as a trademark of Google. Abandoning branding may be a peril of going up against the Apple Watch.

Anyways, pre-orders will start Friday, August 12, and sales officially start on August 29. The Q Wander and Q Marshal will go for $295.
