Fossil Q Founder smartwatch with Android Wear scores 30 percent discount

Very few people feel compelled to buy a previous-generation Android Wear device these days, and the next wave of Google-endorsed smartwatches is still a little ways down the road, but let’s look on the bright side for a moment.

Those who get the appeal of a smartphone-connected watch with built-in activity tracking, notifications and touchscreen functionality can purchase elegant and/or sporty gadgets like the Huawei Watch, 2015 Moto 360 and Fossil Q Founder at decidedly low prices.

Case in point, Fossil and Amazon’s latest 30 percent or so discount applied to all available Q Founder models. That includes fashionable $190 brown leather, $205 black leather and silver stainless steel, $220 unisex gunmetal and stainless steel, as well as $225 2.0 dark brown leather and 2.0 black silicone deals.

Typically, this perfectly round, classically designed, stainless steel-refined, Intel-engineered, IP67 water-resistant wearable device starts at around $275. That’s still how much Google charges through its official US e-store for an entry-level variant, and while we’ve recently reported on a similar Amazon promotion, this time you don’t need to ask Alexa for a huge markdown. And you can choose whatever style fits you best.

Across the board, you’re looking at high-res displays, “estimated” 24-hour battery life, Android and iOS compatibility, 4GB storage, interchangeable straps, plus accelerometer and gyroscope functions. Not a bad list of features for such a posh sub-$200 smartwatch.
