It seems that Google is ready to foray into different markets, other than Android smartphones and Chromebooks, in 2022. The company is tipped to introduce its first smartwatch, the Google Pixel Watch, soon. The Silicon Valley giant has also been rumored to be working on a foldable Pixel called Google Pixel Notepad. A new leak from tipster @TheGalox_ now suggests that we may get the Pixel Notepad sooner than expected.

In the tweet, leaker @TheGalox_ says that Google is trying its best to keep the Pixel Notepad affordable. The company has reportedly set a target price of $1,399, but it remains to be seen if can hit that price. In addition to the price, the tipster also reveals that Google is planning to start the mass production of Pixel fold in the third quarter of 2022.

If this info is true, we can assume that Google is planning to introduce the Pixel Notepad alongside the Pixel 7 series in the fall. But, it's only an assumption right now as nothing has been officially confirmed. Nonetheless, 2022 is expected to be a big year for foldables as most of the Android OEMs have started (or are ready) their work on foldables.

Previous rumors have suggested that Pixel Notepad will come with Google's second-generation Tensor chipset. The foldable is expected to come with a 12.2MP Sony IMX363 sensor and a 12MP ultra-wide sensor on the back. The foldable is reportedly called "pipit" internally and it is expected to ship with Android 12L (or the latest Android version at that time) at launch.
