Fitbit products are well known for being reliable fitness trackers (depending on who you ask, some might even consider them the best). However, while they do what they do extremely well, they don’t look that attractive while doing it. The company is trying to change that with the newly introduced Fitbit Blaze, “its smartest, most stylish, most motivating fitness tracker yet”.

The tracker itself pops in and out of interchangeable bands (genuine leather, stainless steel and high-performance elastomer) and frames. It features a color display, but, sadly, the GPS module present on the Surge has been removed from the Blaze, meaning that you’ll have to rely (and remain tethered) to your smartphone should you want to use location tracking.

There are a lot of software features present, including smart functionalities like SmartTrack for automatic exercise recognition, in addition to FitStar by Fitbit on-screen workouts, Connected GPS, and PurePulse heart rate tracking,

The Blaze is compatible with Android, iOS, and Windows Mobile, and is available for $199.95, on presale, today at Fitbit.com, and tomorrow at major North American retailers (including Amazon, Best Buy, Brookstone, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Macy’s, Sports Authority, Target, and Verizon). Global retail availability will start in March 2016.

Accessory prices vary: the classic high-performance elastomer bands available in black, blue and plum go for $29.95. The Luxe genuine leather bands paired with stainless steel display frames available in black, mist grey and camel will set you back $99.95. The Luxe stainless steel link band paired with a stainless steel display frame available in silver will cost $129.95.
