Facebook Messenger for Windows Phone available

At Mobile World Congress, Microsoft has promised a Facebook Messenger for Windows Phone that would be available soon. Making good on its promise, the official chat client is now available to download from the Windows Store, at the source link below. If you’re using Facebook’s chat service to communicate with friends, you should definitely give it a try, as it offers a better user experience than the Facebook app itself (or the Windows Phone Messages integration with the service).

With the app you can read your messages without opening Facebook, send and receive stickers and photos, share your location, see when the recipient has read your messages, and much more. The lack of a proper (official) Facebook Messenger application on Windows Phone has caused frustration among Windows Phone users, but with the addition of this client, the app-gap is becoming smaller, even if we’re talking about a single piece of software (essential to some Android and iOS users). You’ll have to run Windows Phone 8 though, in order to install the app.
