The smartwatch app ecosystem is currently in an uncertain stage. How much functionality you can get off of a screen with a diameter of less than two inches can be seen as a challenge to pursue or a limitation to work around. If you have the YouTube app for Android Wear, you know which train of thought you’re on.
But now, if your milieu puts you in need of Facebook Messenger while your phone’s out of reach, don’t worry. If you have an Apple Watch with watchOS 2, Messenger’s now on it.
And you have a vast suite of reply mediums to use while occupied with your wrist: you can send voice clips, stickers, location, likes and, of course, via text and dictation.
Version 38.0 of Facebook Messenger for iOS also brings the contacts it has to Apple’s Spotlight search and also improves multi-tasking for iPad use.
