A couple hours back, we told you about the Chat Heads from Facebook Home showing up in the new update for Facebook Messenger for Android. That was a pretty nice feature to see arrive in this manner, but as we poked around the Play Store getting the details on the update, we couldn’t help but notice that Facebook Home itself was still nowhere to be found – despite this being April 12, the date when the app was to become available for installation on a select handful of existing Android phones. Well, it turns out all we needed was a little patience, and now Facebook Home has finally revealed itself, ready for download and installation.

Facebook Home currently supports installation on the HTC One X, HTC One X+, Samsung Galaxy S III, and Samsung Galaxy Note II. Once you’re able to get your hands on an HTC One or Samsung Galaxy S 4, those models will support Home, as well.

We’ve already talked about some of the privacy implications of making Facebook your primary Android launcher, and while the move to Facebook Home may be a big adjustment, it’s by no means permanent, and you can always revert its changes should you decide the software just isn’t for you.
