Samsung brings Chromebook 3 to CES 2016 & new colors, Samsung Pay, and iPhone compatibility for the Gear S2

Aside from its new Notebook 9 series laptops and the Galaxy TabPro S 2-in-1, Samsung also brought a new Chromebook 3 to Las Vegas. At 17.7mm in thickness and 1.14kg in weight (has a reinforced metal body), it features an 11.6-inch display with a 1,366×768 resolution, dual-core Intel Celeron N3050 processor, 2- or 4GB RAM variants, and 16GB of internal storage. There’s no exact word on pricing and availability aside from “early 2016”.

Additionally, Samsung has announced two new color options for its Gear S2 Classic smartwatch (not the sporty Gear S2). It will be available in Platinum and Rose Gold as well, in addition to new bands for which Samsung has teamed up with a series of designers.

Samsung Pay will become available on the Gear S2 and Gear S2 Classic, should you want to make contactless payments with your wrist, and iPhone compatibility has also been confirmed, coming “later this year”.
