Chrome Canary on Android exhibits far-off features

Your internet browser might not factor much into your typical travels on your cyberpod, but being on the leading edge of the internet takes a lot of work and a lot of new features.

If Google Chrome’s your choice of browser, you have plenty of risk options to see how edgy you can get. There’s Chrome, Chrome Beta, Chrome Dev and Chrome Canary. Canary reflects day-to-day changes and developments by the Chromium team and was only available to Windows and Mac users.

But now, Android developers can download the Canary version and get update as frequent as daily for bug patches, tweaks and new features. The biggest risk is that the build is not tested and the app stops “working entirely for days at a time,” at least according to APK Administrator Alex Mineer.

But if you have a workbench to play with, the future’s in your hands — and so’s the coalmine.
