China’s Galaxy Note 7, the same as everyone else’s — 4GB RAM, 64GB storage

Words from Samsung executives teasing the media about a “possible,” “potential,” “may or may not happen” Galaxy Note 7 in China with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage have fallen through. At least, for now.

Samsung opened up pre-orders today for the Galaxy Note 7. Like everyone else’s, it has 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage and no superiority over the rest of our Snapdragon 820 Note 7 units whatsoever. No, even China won’t be getting the Exynos 8890. Shipments start heading out late on September 1. There are some pre-sales freebies, too, like a some OTG storage and a rebate on Level Over headphones.

Over a million customers have registered for notifications on when orders begin. Some sites, though, offer pre-orders but with a fee. The total price? ¥5,988 ($897).
