Is the camera lens scratched on your HTC One (M8)?

By Anton D. Nagy May 20, 2014, 4:23 am

Foreword and note: we’re talking about the lens cover/protection.

There’s no way around it: is the camera lens scratched on your brand new HTC One (M8)? Whether it is an international, unlocked, carrier, or Harman Kardon version, it appears that the glass on the main camera of the HTC One (M8) — the four megapixel one, not the depth sensor — is getting scratched pretty easily.

While all of our review units are fine as far as this issue is concerned, some users have reported pretty nasty scratches on the camera glass. These scratches vary from “a few lines” to bad situations where “the taken pictures are so blurry”, according to reports from XDA Developers forums.

So, tell us: do you have an HTC One (M8) (or variant), and is your camera lens scratched? How bad is it? Drop us a comment below and tell us your experience.
