Google’s first of two new messaging services has been out for several weeks and it’s been an underwhelming contender to say the least, given the amount of coverage we’ve dedicated to Duo since its launch.

With the final public release of iOS 10 and an all-new iMessage with obscuring, fanciful features, it’s about time that Mountain View launch the second service it introduced at I/O this year.

Leakmaster Evan Blass believes that Allo will be on the Play Store this week.

In addition to new interpersonal chatting features, the basis of Allo centers around the Google Assistant service which allows users to reserve theatre tickets, dinner tables and purchase items from online stores with just a few texts. The launch of Allo could indicate the launch of Google Assistant as well.
