BlackBerry Z10 Comes to the US; Are You Getting One?

Over the past few weeks, we’ve been learning all the details of how US carriers will be making the new BlackBerry Z10 available for sale. T-Mobile may have gotten a head-start with corporate sales, but for private individuals, your first opportunity to score a Z10 arrives today, as AT&T puts the BlackBerry 10 smartphone up for sale.

We’ve known about this date since AT&T first started accepting pre-orders earlier this month, so if you just want to walk into a store and walk out with the first BlackBerry 10 handset, now’s your chance to track down an AT&T retailer. On-contract, the carrier will hook you up with a Z10 for just about $200 – pretty standard for a smartphone at launch – or you off-contract kids can score one for more like $550.

Now’s our chance to see how the American public reacts to this new platform. A lot’s happened in the mobile world since BlackBerry announced things back in January, so the company’s going to need to make some smart moves to recapture the public’s attention. And while we can’t wait to check out the Z10’s sales figures, we’re also curious if many users won’t hold off from moving to BB10 until the Q10 becomes available in a couple months.
