BlackBerry Priv gets global discount through August

If you’re still trying to get the Priv at this point, but can’t afford its still-steep price tag, there’s hope for you yet. Deals are on across ShopBlackBerry’s site across North America and Europe as we approach the end of the pre-order period for the new TCL-made DTEK50.

  • In the US, the price has fallen from $649 to $499, a full $200 off its launch price.
  • Canada sees the Priv sunk from its full cost of $899 to $650.
  • The United Kingdom gets a £100 discount to £449. It started off life at Carphone Warehouse just below £580. Prices include VAT.
  • Across France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and Spain, the price is now €629, down from €729 and a €150 difference from launch. Prices include VAT.

Ready to bite yet? You’ve got until August 31 to do so. Or is that second new phone John Chen’s keeping wrapped up calling your name?
