February 21 was a memorable day for BlackBerry Playbook owners who are around one million all over the world, because the platform refresh brought some changes like native email, calendar and contacts sync, Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn integration.

The BlackBerry PlayBook OS 2.1 Beta should land today, if Michael Clewley’s tweet, (he’s the PlayBook Product Manager) is to be believed. He said “end of May” and it doesn’t get more “end of May” than today. There is no change log yet attached to the platform refresh beta but according to the image above we can guess that it will at least bring the ability to view email, contacts and calendar in portrait mode.
