BlackBerry might unveil its two mid-range smartphones next month

BlackBerry might not be on everyone’s radar as it was around a decade ago, but that doesn’t mean the company hasn’t tried to change that. It took two dramatic shake-overs to have the company finally adopt Android with the BlackBerry Priv. We do know that the company’s quarter results didn’t say anything positive about that move, but that isn’t everything the company has up its sleeve.

Following the recent rumors of mid-range BlackBerry devices following the Priv, about the only missing piece of the puzzle is when. Lucky for us, the company’s CEO John Chen did us the favor of spilling everything on the quarter-results conference call. When asked about plans for future devices, Chen simply expressed that he wasn’t ready to unveil information, but that he was thinking about doing so during the month of July.

BlackBerry is in desperate need of more traction, and devices focused at the masses could definitely help achieve that. We’ll keep an eye on how this develops in the future.
