No, it’s not 2009. You haven’t time traveled. Yes, it’s 2015, and we’re on the eve, apparently, of not one but two new BlackBerry smartphone launches. We’re hearing from three separate sources about the existence of a BlackBerry Dallas as well as a BlackBerry Venice.

First, the BlackBerry Dallas – SQW100-4, as it’s otherwise known – made appearances in IDA and e-CoM certification for Singapore and Malaysia. It was also spotted in Indonesia through e-POSTEL.

The device also went on to appear in Indian imports tracker Zauba, along with what’s expected to be the Venice (STV100-3). They’re likely evaluation units for BlackBerry employees in India to test, and that’s probably all that there is to see there – this merely serves to confirm that these devices exist in some capacity. Below you can see the listing in the Zauba import database as it appears there.

With BlackBerry making some important changes in its strategy, it’s going to be interesting to see how the company’s next few moves play out. We’re watching in anticipation.
