New York’s B&H Photo is taking pre-orders for carrier-unlocked BlackBerry DTEK60 units, but has not announced an advanced availability timeline.

The DTEK60 is the second phone of the season from the former manufacturer and is remarkably more powerful, but physically similar to the DTEK50. We’re talking about a 5.5-inch quad HD AMOLED screen, a 21-megapixel main camera, a 3,000mAh battery, a Snapdragon 820, 4GB of RAM and 32GB of storage.

Any of North America’s GSM carriers can run with the DTEK60, which costs $499.99. B&H is bundling in a rapid travel charger and a soft shell case.

Meantime, Canadian Thanksgiving is over and we don’t have any signs of the phone coming online over there.
