T-Mobile has won another cluster of accolades, this time from a firm analyzing applications optimization called Twin Prime. It’s a shame this report’s coming off of a rather rough period for the Un-carrier’s network, suffering its third overnight outage in just as many weeks.
Twin Prime compared the four major US networks on their performance based on coverage, response times and download times for static images. It found that while Verizon did win out on LTE coverage, T-Mobile beat everyone with speed and ping on both LTE and 3G networks.
Understand some are having intermittent calling issues. We’re working to restore service as quickly as possible! Thank u for your patience.

Well, the performance is good when the network is up. T-Mobile’s network went down again in the wee hours between Saturday and Sunday. It’s arguably a very busy time for weekend partiers and an especially grueling period for those suffering through the impacts of Hurricane Matthew in the southeast.
DownDetector saw outage reports spiking starting at Midnight Eastern Time. CEO John Legere acknowledged the issue on Twitter at 1am, when 7,000 reports were lodged, and announced that service was lighting back up at 2am.
Two weeks ago, T-Mobile LTE service went out nationwide during the third watch. Last week, service issues hit Pennsylvania. Each outage has lasted between two and four hours.
