If you’re waiting to buy the LG G5 from Best Buy for whatever reason instead of the carriers, good news: the electronics big box chain has announced when it will have the phone ready for purchase.

Pre-orders begin March 18. The G5 is likely to come in AT&T, Sprint and Verizon variants as the rest of LG’s current phone lineup at Best Buy already do, though we can’t be certain that the T-Mobile variants may hop in, too.

Samsung’s new flagships’ pre-order periods end on this date, so we have some breathing room between neck-and-neck competitors.

All we have is a date — better than what the carriers have offered us so far.
