Update: Samsung has officially announced the Galaxy S7 edge Injustice Edition. The device itself plastered black with gold Batwing detailing. It’s paired with a Gear VR headset, in-game credit for “Injustice: Gods Among Us” and Oculus VR content vouchers.

The packages will be available early next month in China, Singapore, Korea, Latin America, Russia and other markets to be revealed at a later date.

Samsung is teasing a new, special edition device in association with DC Comics’s and Warner Bros. Games’s “Injustice: Gods Among Us”. It’s a game centered on not only Batman, but everyone from Wonder Woman, The Flash, Nightwing and so many others in the quest to stop a psychotic Superman who killed Lois Lane.

In other words, we’re looking at a Batphone.

Double-O Duck, this is not.

The teaser’s just plain vague and, for your curiosity, “Injustice” doesn’t seem to run that well on our Galaxy S7 edge. We know it’s early days for the Vulcan optimizations, but yeah, there’s going to have to be more about this phone to impress us.

Maybe Superman has definitively gone to the dark side, a.k.a. China …?
