Aukey CES 2015 booth tour: a plethora of mobile accessories (Video)

CES 2015 brought the Pocketnow team to the displays of countless manufacturers in our search for the latest and greatest in mobile tech. Last week you may have noticed some of the CES 2015 videos we were able to produce thanks to the sponsorship of Aukey: products like that GoldKey (no relation to Aukey) cell-enabled smartwatch. Well, who are these Aukey cats and what do they make that you should be interested in? We swung by the Aukey booth before leaving CES 2015 to have a look.

For Aukey, the name of the game is “mobile accessories.” Chargers, batteries, speakers: they produce many of the types of accessories we find ourselves using more and more as we push our phones to their limits. What’s nice about checking out these kind of products at trade shows is that we get a preview into what’s still over the horizon; while we saw a nice assortment of existing accessories, some were still very much under development, giving us an early look at designs while product internals are still being finalized.

Just as we see smartphone manufacturers produce ruggedized versions of their handsets, Aukey’s doing the same for accessories, creating a power pack that not only holds a few extra charges worth of juice, but does so in a form factor that will stand up to a good deal of punishment.
