At least one Verizon 128GB Pixel XL delayed from shipping for two weeks

What’s the issue with manufacturers underestimating demand and poorly planning out inventory channels?

Some Verizon customers are receiving a delay of shipment notice from the carrier, pointing out to them that while these people have “great taste,” that taste has meant that many people agree with them. And too many agreed to buying the 128GB Google Pixel XL from Big Red, so much so that the ol’ Checkmark is pushing delivery dates out by 15 days. This example came from a reader to PhoneArena.

Verizon is the only carrier retailer for the Google Pixel, though the phone works on all major carriers in the US. Demand for the 128GB SKUs of the Pixel and Pixel XL have proven more challenging than the 32GB ones.
