The newly launched iPhone 4S went up on pre-order yesterday as promised and, even if there were some hick-ups with the system not working for everyone on the first try (nothing unusual), Apple seems to have sold out the initial amount of devices.

If you go to the Apple store now and try to place an order, the phone will be shipped in 1-2 weeks. If you need an iPhone 4S pronto, instead of waiting 1-2 weeks for the online purchase to deliver you can try your luck at an Apple store on October 14.

With the new Apple-phone, AT&T is proud to announce they had the best iPhone launch ever. The carrier registered 200,000 pre-orders in just 12 hours. There's no official word from Verizon and Sprint but the Now Network's iPhone 4S pre-order page lists the phone as being "out of stock". Seems like we're off on a good start!
