Apple schedules September 7 event, iPhone 7 top of mind

Bokeh balls hint at the cap of Apple’s iconographic motif on Apple’s events page. When’s the freshly scheduled event happening? September 7.

Next Wednesday will be the day that Apple will likely debut the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, as we’ve been calling them. The event, which will be livestreamed, will happen at 10am Pacific or 1pm Eastern. We also expect iOS 10 and various other Apple software platforms get finalized and announced for release and maybe even an Apple Watch 2 to be talked about. There are supposedly new MacBook Pro devices in the works, but they will be passed up for a later event.

Maybe if we switched to the telephoto lens-equipped camera on the iPhone 7 Plus, we’ll be able to make out what all that colorful light actually is.
