Apple Releases iTunes 10.5.2 With Improvements To iTunes Match

Apple has just launched iTunes 10.5.2 with several key improvements for iTunes Match, a long with some fixes in audio distortion when playing or importing music CDs. Sadly we’re still not clear on what those improvements to iTunes Match were, but I do know of many cases where customers have complained of the service simply halting with no specific reason.

iTunes Match is a service where you pay $25 a year for Apple’s iTunes Store to match your music with their files on the store. If a match is made, then Apple will switch your current music with their more enhanced music format.

In my testing I do notice iTunes Match to be working a little faster than before, but we’ll keep you posted if this update is significant. If your computer isn’t updating automatically, make sure you download the application from the iTunes website.
