If you’ve seen (or know all about) the iPhone 5 event then you know that Apple’s new iTunes version 11 was slated for an October release. There’s little to no doubt that today will be the day and the company itself seems to be teasing the next generation all-in-one application.

“Get ready for the new iTunes” is the title of the document which doesn’t miss the opportunity to let you know that “the arrival of a new version of iTunes presents a good opportunity to spruce up your library for its new surroundings”. The new version of the application will not only bring new features but it will also feature a general redesign which will heavily take advantage of visuals. The quick tips for preparing for iTunes 11 include deleting files you no longer need, finding duplicates, downloading artwork, etc. but the key take-away here is that it should be available in a couple of hours.
