Apple may silently bring major changes to iPod Touch tomorrow

Apple knew that the iPhone would kill the iPod, but Cupertino decided to act against itself before competing smartphones did. As such we’ve seen iPods decline significantly over the years, up to the point where we don’t understand why the lineup still exists. It would be odd for Apple to give the iPod new life, but this would be the second rumor that claims otherwise.

It’s hard for us to consider the source trusted yet, but new reports claim that Apple will revamp its entire iPod lineup tomorrow. If you remember, the launch iOS 9 pretty much leaked new color options for the iPod Touch, iPod nano and iPod shuffle. What the colors didn’t reveal is that Apple will apparently re-launch the iPod Touch with a new 64-bit processor. Even more interesting is that the report claims that the possible launch happens tomorrow.

It makes sense for Apple to keep this iPod launch silent, mainly because these designs are extremely old. Add to that the other rumor that claims that the rest of the iPods won’t get much of an upgrade, and things start to fall into place. We’ll keep an eye on Apple’s website tomorrow.
