Sketchy iPhone 7 shells purport to show same old colors (no black or blue)

While it’s getting clearer and clearer 2017 will be the year of the next big iPhone upgrade, with OLED screen adoption and a build revision likely in the cards for the 7s or 8 model, we can’t help but expect this fall’s 7 generation to also shine somehow.

No, a 15 percent battery capacity increase won’t do. And many are still conflicted about the headphone jack exclusion, antenna band redesign, not to mention the new rear camera protrusion on at least the 4.7-inch model.

The 5.5-incher arguably has a few intriguing tricks up its sleeve, in a dual lens cam and Smart Connector, whereas fashionistas could look forward to a color scheme alteration, with “Deep Blue” or “Space Black” tipped to replace the objectively boring “Space Gray.”

Hardly a game-changing new “feature”, the paint job substitution may not go down after all, according to a leaked photo allegedly starring the rear shells of the four iPhone 7 variants in the pipeline.

The pic’s authenticity is obviously in question, although the antenna lines are amended, the single photographic unit on the back stands out in a not-so-subtle way, and yet the range of shades includes silver, gold, space gray, and rose gold. Bummer!
