Apple’s push to higher-resolution technology on its computers has certainly done a good job in boosting the company’s product reputation. Its existing Retina Display laptops are top of their class, and the same can be said about its 5K iMac in everything but its price tag. We know that mentality doesn’t last for long in Cupertino, and it seems more products are already planned.
Code buried inside the recent betas of OS X El Capitan has already begun hinting a 4K iMac in the works, but it seems this is not just one product. The recent beta has gone as far as to reveal three new iMacs on the way. We notice a 21.5-inch 4K iMac listed, in addition to more 27-inch 5K iMac options, though we don’t know which variant will launch two models. The source also claims that the design of these products will remain largely unchanged from what we currently know, which makes a lot of sense for how Apple handles its computer business.
OS X El Capitan is slated to launch in the fall, so it seems that these products will be part of the launch party.
