Android Marshmallow now running on DROID Turbo 2 for Verizon employees

Manufacturers’ abysmal records on Android system updates are still fresh on our mind, especially when we bring up the original DROID Turbo. But Motorola has seemed to hint at a major software update to that device’s follow-up, the DROID Turbo 2, at about 45 days outside of release and 70 days from the Android 6.0 final build launch.

Just a couple days after that hint, we get more of a nudge — likely from a Verizon employee. Specifically, the DROID Turbo 2 Employee Edition is receiving a version 6.0 OTA roll-out.

We suspect that a lot of the same features that were included with the Moto X Pure Edition updates to Marshmallow will be here as well, though this seemingly whirlwind update process may prove to be agony for DROID Maxx 2 owners.
