Android M is racing up the update chain and will be arriving before 2015 ends. Our slew of coverage about the software can be found here. But with the features being leaked and trickled every so often from Google, we’re looking forward to the devices that will be updated or introduced with Android M. Here are the confirmation status terms as we are using them:

  • Native — The OEM will introduce the device with Android M.
  • Confirmed — The OEM or Google has explicitly mentioned that the device will receive an update to Android M.
  • Assumed — For devices that have been/will be introduced within the past 18 months that have not been explicitly mentioned for Android M software.
  • Likely — Based on history of OEM updates and device circumstances, the device may receive an update to Android M.
  • Unlikely — Based on history of OEM updates and device circumstances, the device may not receive an update to Android M.
  • Denied — The OEM or Google has explicitly mentioned that the device will NOT receive an update to Android M.
