Android 2.3 Gingerbread On Sony Ericsson Xperia X10

The Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 on AT&T received its Android 2.1 Eclair update but the unlocked version of the smartphone has been pictured and even filmed running Google’s latest mobile platform.

As you can see in the video below — and we definitely hope this is not a custom ROM –, it’s Android 2.3 Gingerbread on Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 so it means there’s hope for all of you out there still left behind on Android 1.6 Donut. Hopefully the manufacturer will go through with the updating process and from the build running on the device filmed there looks to be a new Kernel — and hopefully there will be an unlocked bootloader even though Sony Ericsson only talked about newer devices in terms of bootloaders.
