It looks as if Amazon is almost ready to unleash their Appstore for Android, at least if recently leaked screenshots are accurate. If you point your desktop browser toward http://www.amazon.com/appstore you’ll see the new Appstore for Android Department, though nothing is displayed inside it — not currently anyway.

The folks over at AndroidNews.de were able to catch some screenshots of what the new Android pages on Amazon are probably going to look like — including what look like fairly accurate pricing of apps.

What’s more, a price comparison was run, and it looks like most apps are priced almost the same on the Amazon Appstore as they are on the Android Market, but there are some bargains to be had on the former.

How much longer before Amazon releases their Appstore app and turns on the site remains unanswered, but from the looks of things, it’s likely going to be fairly soon.
