Alcatel Idol 4 on Cricket is half-off with packed-in VR

Sure, Alcatel’s Idol 4s has had more media traction in its Android form and especially the Windows 10 form. It’s really no surprise that the regular ‘ol Idol 4 gets the shaft.

But there is a time, a place and a use for the Snapdragon 617-powered Idol 4. It features the same multimedia amenities like those 360-degree speakers, VR goggles as packaging and an any-orientation interface. And AT&T-owned Cricket Wireless has been selling this phone for $199.99.

Not anymore — it’s now half-off, $99.99, at the prepaid carrier and yes, the headset is still included… unlike with that Amazon package for the Idol 4s.
